VSimulators: virtual reality and beyond

Run time: Thursday 7 September 10.30 – 17.00, Friday 8 September 10:30 – 17:00

Virtual reality (VR), once something seemingly out of a sci-fi novel, is now something many of us aware of; whether that’s through art, gaming, film, or some other form of entertainment. Fewer of us, however, are aware of the role VR has to play in research.
Join the team from VSimulators at the University of Exeter, along with staff and students from the Medical School and the Sport & Health Sciences department, to try out some cutting-edge VR technology and hear more about how this technology, combined with a motion platform, motion capture technology and wearable devices can be used to support research from biomedical to engineering by recreating a range of physical and virtual immersive environments.
Please note that this event will include use of virtual reality (VR) equipment, which some may find disorientating.
