We endeavour to be a Festival that everyone can enjoy and aim to provide as many details as possible to help you plan your visit. If you have additional accessibility questions, please email us at [email protected].

Event accessibility

All of our venues are wheelchair accessible. The majority of our events are wheelchair accessible, except for a handful of activities. This is clearly outlined in the event description. If you are interested in attending one of these events, please email us to discuss the details of the activity.

Please refer to each venue description below for an overview of its accessibility features. We are working with AccessAble to provide an accessibility guide for all our venues. Please return to this page in the coming weeks for more information.

Assistance dogs are welcome to all our events.

Accessible travel

You can find detailed information about accessible travel across London on the TfL and Newham Council websites.

If you’re travelling to our Docklands venues via DLR, you may prefer to use DLR Community Ambassadors who offer advice on those specific networks and can accompany people on bespoke journeys. For more information, visit the TFL website or call 0343 222 1234.

In addition, Transport for All is an organisation led by disabled and older people who champion the cause of accessible transport in London. They provide advice, information, advocacy and training. For more information, visit their website or call 020 7737 2339.

There is a limited number of disabled parking bays for Blue Badge holders on the University of East London Campuses. Please see the AccessAble links in each venue listing below or email us at [email protected] for more details.

You can park for free in most Newham Council car parks when you display a Blue Badge and park in a disabled parking bay, except for the Stratford Multi-Storey car park. Find out more information on the Newham Council website.

Westfield Stratford offers shopmobility services and equipment hire. Please visit their website for more information.

Toilets

There are toilets available in all our venues.

Most of our venues have accessible toilets on or near their premises. Please refer to each venue description below for details and exceptions.

Newham has a Community Toilet Scheme, where businesses like cafes, shops and pubs agree to open up their toilets for members of the public to use. You can find more information, including a map, on their website.

Help at the Festival

Please feel free to speak to one of our Festival Assistants while at the festival. They will be happy to answer your questions, provide directions, and give you more information about each venue’s facilities.

If you wish to, you are welcome to pick up a Sunflower Lanyard from one of our Info Desks during their opening hours. It will discreetly indicate to the Festival Assistants across our events that you may need additional support or a little more time.

If you need some time to yourself at any point during the Festival, you can head to our Multi-faith Prayer & Quiet Rooms, at the below locations, dates and times:
