Slow fashion

Run time: 18.00 – 19.00

Fast fashion has changed the way we think about our clothes. How often do you take the time to mend your clothes if they tear, and how aware of their production process are you?
Clare Saunders from the S4S Project wants to show you her slow fashion lifecycle. Taking you on a journey tracking garments from fleece to fibre, from fibre to fabric, from fabric to clothes, from old clothes to stylistic mending.

Discover how the project has deeply changed the ways in which a small group of participants think, feel and act in relation to the sustainability of their clothing changes. Try your hand at spinning fleece, fixing torn garments and mending embroidery hoops to see if it gets you thinking in new directions about the sustainability of what you wear.
