Sea-ing the beauty in seaweed

Run time: 16.00 – 17.00

It’s easy to dismiss seaweed as the slimy green stuff you see at the beach, but did you know seaweeds creates 70% of our oxygen? Likewise, there are over 35,000 species of it across the world.

They come in all shapes, sizes, varying colours and have beautiful intricate patterns that make them distinctive. Rob Magnuson Smith thinks they are beautiful and has developed a creative workshop that will open your eyes to the world of seaweed.

Using multiple artforms such as visual art, prose, poetry and even song! Come along and share in his love of macroalgae.
