Megawatt

Run time: 11.00 – 17.00

Megawatt is an interactive game that challenges you to design electricity grids for a world that removes as much atmospheric carbon as it produces (otherwise known as net-zero).

Posing you with the energy trilemma, Megawatt requires you to balance cost, sustainability, and security of supply to succeed. You’ll need to utilise new technologies like offshore wind, grid level storage and carbon capture to help tackle your problems.

Don’t worry – Miguel Trenkel-Lopez, Director of CurieUs Games and inventor of Megawatt will be on hand to guide you through real world scenarios. He’ll be giving you hints and tips on how to master the relationship between weather and electricity generation or consider the consequences of political decisions and events that may occur and prevent your success.
