Environmental Intelligence (EI)

Run time: Thursday 7 September 10.30 – 17.00, Friday 8 September 10.30 – 17.00

The conversations surrounding Artificial Intelligence (AI) often focus on risk and fear. However, there are multiple ways we can utilise these technologies for good. For example, the transformative rise of AI and digital technologies comes at a time of climate and ecological emergency.
Environmental Intelligence is a scientific research programme from the Joint Centre for Excellence in Environmental Intelligence, a partnership between the Met Office and the University of Exeter that seeks to use big data and AI to solve environmental problems.

Fusing science with art, Dawn Scott and Hywell Williams, from the Centre invite you to explore their exhibition. Through drawings, sculptures and interactive tools, get to grips with some of the technological solutions for a sustainable future, and discover how climate change might affect you.
