BBC Studios Natural History Unit: Behind the scenes

Run time: 14.00 – 15.00

Anna Place and Dom Walters are Producers/Directors at BBC Studios Natural History Unit.

Anna has been making wildlife documentaries there for over a decade. Since joining the Natural History Unit as a researcher in 2012, Anna has worked on everything from natural history radio to ’world first’ expeditions, live television and award-winning wildlife series.

Dom, originally a biologist, has created deep-space programs, helped create a developmental-neuroscience mega-series for Netflix and has even worked on the multi-award winning Apple series Prehistoric Planet with David Attenborough and Hans Zimmer.

Join Anna and Dom as they discusses their careers and how they got into wildlife filmmaking, as well as hearing about working with researchers and scientists from across the world; creating exciting and engaging stories, and of the attachments you form when filming the same animals over many years.
