Outside Leicester Gallery, De Montfort University

The outside area is based right in front of the gallery (in front of the Vijay Patel building). It is a relatively flat, open space consisting of pedestrian concrete pathways between the buildings, and grassy areas.

Bus: One of the closest stations is ‘Leicester West Bridge’, and if you get off here you can walk through the Castle Gardens towards Trinity House. There is a multifaith room available in the centre.

Bike: The best place for bike storage in the area is likely to be Highcross, which has 284 bicycle storage points, including the undercover storage area near the John Lewis car park entrance. It is a 2 minute walk to Highcross from Jubilee Square.

Bus: The closest bus stop is St Nicholas Circle. There are a number of bus routes which service the city centre- click here for more information. There are also Park&Ride services running throughout the city.

Parking: The closest parking options for Jubliee Square will be Highcross Rooftop, NCP Leicester St Nicholas Circle and New Street Car Parks. Charges apply.

LCB Depot, Leicester City Centre

Including the Courtyard Room, Garden Room, Old Gallery, and Print Room. The LCB Depot is a business hub based in the cultural quarter of Leicester.

How to get there

Walking: LCB Depot is a 9 minute walk from Leicester Railway Station, an 11 minute walk to De Montfort University and a 4 minute walk to Leicester City Centre.

Bike: There are cycle racks in the courtyard at the rear of the café. There are also cycle racks on Rutland Street, just across the road from the Depot in front of the Manhattan Bar.

There are also e-bikes available in a docking point on Rutland Street.

Bus: The Park&Ride services Leicester city centre, which is a 4 minute walk to LCB Depot.

Parking: LCB Depot has no general onsite parking, but parking options in the area include:

Including The Victorian Galley, The Lord Mayor’s Suite, and The Council Room. Leicester Museum & Art Gallery is located on the outskirts of the city centre.

How to get there

Walking: Leicester Museum & Art Gallery is a 5 minute walk from Leicester Railway Station, and a 9 minute walk to De Montfort University.

Bike: There is an area with rails to secure your bicycle in the museum car park.

Bus: Take any of the following Arriva bus routes: 31, 31A, 44, 44A, or 48, and disembark at Leicester Railway Station. From here it is a 5 minute walk.

Parking: Leicester Museum & Art Gallery car park can be accessed from Princes Road West. The car park consists of Bicycle Parking facilities, 2 Disabled Car Parking Bay and 18 Car Parking Spaces. There is a drop-off location near the wrought iron gates at the far end of the car park. Charges apply.

It is a 4 minute walk to the Bike Park from the Clock Tower. Bike storage is also available in Highcross with 284 bicycle storage points.
