Tune in to unheard animal worlds
Run time: 12.00 – 17.00
Put your feelers out and listen in to everything from soil sounds to fish grunting!
Meet members of the Ecology and Marine Biology (University of Liverpool) and find out how animals communicate using vibrations that are felt rather than heard.
Using 3D models and living specimens, you’ll be able to hear recordings of toads and elephants, and listen live to the likes of worms, bugs and aquatic creatures.
We’ll investigate the impact of noise pollution on the environment and discover how sounds and vibrations can be used to monitor wildlife.
Please note, this venue for this event is on flat level but has uneven gravel surfaces. This makes the space difficult to navigate by wheelchair.
