The beauty of maths

Run time: 18.00 – 21.30
Can art teach us maths?
Discover how the two are entwined at this interactive exhibition.

Join Gary Lester (Liverpool John Moores University and Edge Hill University) to find out how visual art can help us better understand complicated maths concepts.

Gary uses sculpture to illuminate mathematical ideas. Join him to delve into different dimensions, investigating chaos theory, fractals and complex numbers using paintings, pendulums and dynamic sculpture.

Unearth just how beautiful mathematics can be and discuss whether schools could use art to engage students more meaningfully with maths.
