Bionically Beautiful: Tilly Lockey

Run time: 19.30 – 20.30

Tilly Lockey has been one of the biggest change makers of the next generation, altering how people see bionics and human augmentation.

Diagnosed with a severe strain of Meningococcal Septicaemia at 15 months old, Tilly’s survival against all odds marked the beginning of her extraordinary journey. Determined to make a difference, she embarked on a mission to improve the lives of child amputees like herself.
Tilly has been co-creating state of the art bionic arms with Open Bionics since she was 9 years old. Combining her passion for fashion and sci-fi films, she pushes the boundaries of technology, design and challenges questions around stigmas that have formed over decades of conformity.
She serves as a reminder of all the good technology can accomplish and how we can accelerate this for a more accessible, inclusive and augmented future.
Join advocate, social media star and presenter Tilly Lockey to hear her unique story of transformation and to reflect on how we create and interact with technology today.
