Sonic pond dipping
Run time: 11.30 – 17.00
Listen in and learn more about Liverpool’s underwater lifeforms at this interactive workshop.
Join David de la Haye (EcoSound CIC) for an introduction to the hidden soundscapes of freshwater spaces, including the smallest of ponds! David will demonstrate the technology that allows us to listen in and share how to make a homemade hydrophone.
This is your chance to explore the sounds made by aquatic creatures and plants, and find out more about freshwater sciences, bioacoustics and acoustic ecology.
This event is part of the Museum of Liverpool takeover, a
day of free talks, workshops and activities across the museum. Join us on
Sunday 14 September 10.30-17.00.
