Electrons in wonderland

Run time: 13.00 – 19.00

Did you know the human body contains approximately 18.9 quintillion billion electrons?

Visit our wonderland, shrink to the size of an electron, and take a deep dive into the building blocks of matter.

Using immersive projections and motion capture, scientists from the Department of Physics (University of Liverpool) will reveal how electrons help us understand and change the world around us.

Find out how electrons can be used to capture ultra-detailed images at the nanoscale. Learn how magnetic fields can be harnessed to propel electrons to nearly the speed of light. And follow the path of an electron as it journeys into a patient to target cancer.

This is your chance to get up close to the tiny particles behind countless scientific breakthroughs.

Please note that the venue for this event is not wheelchair accessible.
