Creative conceptions
This drop in activity runs from 11.00 – 14.30
Community advocates have long been campaigning to highlight and address inequalities in health outcomes for Black, Asian and ethnic minority parents and babies.
Take part in a vibrant, interactive workshop co-designed by local Black and South Asian parents, artists and scientists from the University of Southampton. Explore stories of pregnancy, heritage and identity through creative activities. Engage in open conversation as you reflect on early development, parental health and support before and during pregnancy, and how we can shape better health outcomes for the next generation.
This event is part one of a four-part creative event series exploring lifelong health.
Please note that this event will involve discussions around pregnancy, parental health, race and health inequalities.
