Local artist Damian Bemben has created an installation that harnesses generative artificial intelligence to build collective worlds across cultures. Combining voice recognition, 3D capture and AI techniques, this installation offers you the opportunity to speak your wish for Southampton City Centre and watch it appear. Whether it’s a bustling street, a community space, a gothic garden or something else entirely, you can shape your urban space and decide what your city looks like.
This piece reveals what can happen when the question of ‘who shapes a city?’ is answered with ‘anyone who walks past!’.
Please note that this installation contains moving imagery and changing light effects and it may not be appropriate for anyone with photosensitive epilepsy.
