Event duration: 60 minutes
What influence can clothes have on our psychology? Described as our ‘second skin’, clothes have an undeniable influence on how we think and feel about ourselves and others. However, we rarely think what long-term effects our fashion choices may have on our physical and psychological wellbeing, as well as that of the planet.
Join Katerina Fotopoulou from University College London who’ll share her project, The Sustainable Brain. Her Psychology Section Presidential address will explore how people’s decisions to change their habits to be more sustainable and more socially ethical can help to also reduce anxiety, built psychological wellbeing and even promote health.
Please note this event includes discussion of body image issues.
