Upcycling station

16 September 2022 - 18:00

LCB Depot, Leicester

This is a drop-in event, running between 18.00-23.00

How do we limit the impact of our material possessions on human and natural resources?

‘Upcycling’ is one way we lessen these impacts and maintain a balance of what’s being taken away from our planet’s finite resources.

Stop by the upcycling station, run by De Montfort University lecturer and artist, Mary O’Neill, and her students to create beautiful art pieces and meaningful artefacts from old textiles and everyday wastes.

Discover more about upcycling in discussions by the AHRC-funded International Upcycling Research Network, find out how it can contribute to a ‘circular economy’, and how this could hold the solutions to a more sustainable future.

This drop-in activity is part of our LCB Depot Takeover event
