Unveiling the unseen faces of science

Run time: 15:00 – 16:00
Incredible discoveries are made every day in the world of research. However, only some stories make it into the limelight. Many of us will be aware of Einstein or Oppenheimer, but the majority of the other faces behind these ground-breaking discoveries remain in the shadows.
Join Sheeba Viswarajan, and trainee teachers at University of East London to discover the often-overlooked stories, achievements, and discoveries in the scientific community.
They’ll shed light on the unsung, untold stories shaping the direction of science. From gender inequality to the underrepresentation of racially minoritised groups, it's time to close these divides and promote diversity and inclusivity in the search for knowledge.
