Touching the stars

Run time: 18:00 – 19:00

Studying the stars often requires using a telescope or looking to the night sky which can prove difficult for those who are living with sight loss.

Nic Bonne has been developing Tactile Universe, a project which is developing resources to provide vision impaired people with more accessible options to learn about current topics in astronomy.

Join him for the Presidential Address for Physics and Astronomy to explore some of the multi-sensory techniques he’s been developing inspired by his current astronomy research in galaxy evolution and formation.
