Too tired to test

Run time: 10:30 – 17:00
Day after day, healthcare professionals perform multiple tests and are required to diagnose hundreds of serious medical conditions with rapid efficiency.
The accuracy of these tests can be lifesaving. However, with continued funding cuts and significant strain on the National Health Service (NHS), staff are commonly overstretched and burnt out, seriously impacting their ability to perform. Jamie Edwards from the University of East London uses eye-tracking technology to understand how this fatigue may affect the accuracy of these diagnoses.
Join him to see how you would fair under pressure and try out the eye tracker for yourself, it’s not just doctors who get tired. Try not to nod off though, it only works if your eyes are open!
