The many colours of your mind

Run time: 18:00 – 20:00
Did you know that some people smell colour? And that some can taste music?
Synaestheisa is a fascinating condition that causes pathways in an individual's brain to get mixed up, leading to confusion of the senses. Unsurprising really, considering the brain is such a hugely complex organ; constantly sending messages, making interpretations, and shaping the ways in which we make sense of the world around us.
Synaesthesia is just one of the topics Mary Spiller and her team at the University of East London are exploring in order to better understand how the brain processes sensory information.
