The genetics revolution
Tuesday, September 10 • 17:00 - 18:00
Since being coined in the early 20th Century, the concepts of genes, genetics and DNA have entered the collective conscience in everything from health advice to marketing campaigns.
But how much do we really understand and how have these ideas taken hold so strongly?
This year the Genetics Society will be 100 years old and to celebrate Alison Woollard, who specialises in developmental genetics at the University of Oxford, shares her insights into how and why our relationship with genetics has changed since 1919.
This event is supported by Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership.
