Technology and consciousness entwined

Run time: 16:00 – 17:00
If you’ve ever listened to ASMR to relax, tried virtual reality, or lost track of time when scrolling through your social media feed, you might be interested in neosomnambulism.
Neosomnabulism, roughly translating to ‘new sleepwalking’, is a concept investigating the space that our minds occupy between consciousness and unconsciousness when we use digital technology.
Diana Lengua from the University of East London explores the edges of sleep, trying to understand the experiences we have when immersing ourselves in digital environments.
