The Joint European Torus – or JET for short, is a fusion facility in Oxford that has been running for over four decades. This one-of-a-kind experiment has pushed forwards our understanding of nuclear fusion and power, but its time is coming to an end.
Now, the UK Atomic Energy Authority bring you Star Makers 2, a follow-on documentary that shines light on the people who have spent their entire careers working on the project.
Get comfy and discover why JET was constructed, how its early operations played a pivotal role in moving us closer to a safe, low-carbon and more sustainable future, and the human stories behind the science.
