Responsible electronics

Run time: 11:30 – 18:00

Technology is part of almost every part of our lives now. Not just in our pockets and homes but being deployed in areas of medicine and wellbeing, environmental monitoring, agriculture, the list goes on. However, as the use grows, so too does the demand for resources used to make them, many of which are not sustainable.

In collaboration with researchers in Italy, France and Korea, Radu Sporea develops electronic devices using sustainable materials and fabrication processes. Working on a nanoscale they’re able to increase energy efficiency and functional effectiveness of the devices.

Join him and a team of researchers from the University of Surrey to discover the growing opportunities of emerging flexible and printed electronic technologies for medical, environmental and entertainment devices with lower environmental impact.
