Moving with the crowd

Thursday, September 12 • 17:00 - 18:00

As the world’s population grows and our cities fill with people, simulating the behaviour of crowds will become more essential than ever. Not only for our safety and security, but for our enjoyment and how we experience a space.

Having been instrumental in the movement analysis of people in events across the world, Aoife Hunt, Associate Director at Movement Strategies, explores how simulation and big data is improving our planning and knowledge of how crowds move.

This event will be immediately followed by a drinks reception in the Dome, which is kindly supported by the Operational Research Society.
