Making nature for everyone

16 September 2022 - 12:00

Vijay Patel Building, Fletcher Hub 4.09, De Montfort University

Event duration: 60 minutes

Green spaces and the natural environment have a marked, positive impact on our physical and mental wellbeing. But these landscapes haven’t always been accessible to everyone.

Through storytelling, Geeta Ludhra from Brunel University and Dadima’s Community Interest Company will unpack some of the issues surrounding inclusion, representation, engagement and enjoyment of natural landscapes experienced by ethnic minority communities.

Geeta will shine a light on how subject knowledge of the natural landscapes can empower people to connect with communities, as well as exploring how connecting with nature can have crossovers with faith.
