From fake news to misleading data, there is growing concern about the negative impacts online misinformation is having on democracy and society. But what motivates people to share lower quality content online? 

Through his research at the University of Exeter Business School, Mohsen Mosleh seeks to understand why people share misinformation, and how we can combat the spread of low-quality content online. 

Join him in this year’s Digital Innovation Award Lecture to hear some of the fascinating attempts to subtly change people’s behaviour using psychology, and supporting social media companies to fight misinformation online.
