Designing for decomposition

Run time: 11:00 – 12:00
The field of Biomimetics sees scientists look to the creativity that lies within the animal and plant kingdoms to unearth the secrets behind nature’s masterpieces. Using these designs to inspire them to effortlessly solve some of the toughest societal and environmental challenges of today.
Join Nermina Lamadema from Biomime UK on a captivating journey of discovery as we delve into the world of biomimetics. She’ll be sharing her work on how we can think about bio-inspired solutions for the decomposition of textile waste products.
From awe-inspiring animal-built structures inspired by the intricacies of a delicate flower petal, or an ingenious design of a Kingfisher beak, we invite you to explore the designs.
