Caring about those who care

Run time: 15:00 – 16:00
According to Alzheimer’s Research UK, dementia was the leading cause of death across the UK in 2022. Ensuring people get the right end of life care is paramount for this condition, but often it’s left to care home staff with very little support or training.
Often there can be a lot of stigma and misinformation around those who provide this care. So, for the first time in 20 years an in-depth study into end-of-life care practice within the care home sector has been completed by Diana Teggi from the University of Bath. Her aim was to dispel some of these assumptions.
Join her to discover a clearer picture of the variety of care available to those dying with dementia.
