Knee and hip replacements are some of the most common surgical procedures, with four out of ten people worldwide needing surgery on these joints at some point in their lifetime. However, current methods are inefficient, invasive and often need revisions a few years later.

Abolfazl Zahedi from De Montfort University is part of a team who have been developing unique implants that might help to combat this problem.

Join him to find out more about their work using 3D scanning and software to build a unique implant that is custom made to the patient's body.
