Whether you love it or hate it, artificial intelligence (AI) and the data it stores from your most mundane actions is present everywhere. It shapes what we watch, hear, and buy and is increasingly controlling how we navigate the world both online and off.

For many of us, AI is actually making our lives easier, more efficient and more connected, but what about people that don't have access to these technologies? Research shows that social disparities can be amplified by AI with regards to race and gender.
